We are happy to introduce Ping Lau to our group of Masterpiecedoll artists. You can read more about Ping on the hang tag that accompanies each doll. Ping is well known in the doll world for her incredible life like Asian babies. Ping has specially sculpted a large Asian baby named Li-Wei which means "Great Success". Ht 24-25" in silicone/vinyl. Those who love to redress their babies will enjoy this large size. Her dark brown hair is styled with two pigtails with ribbon bows under her hat. She wears a traditional Chinese style baby's costume. This type of costume has been worn for centuries. The bright colors such as reds and golds are considered auspicious and are thought to confer luck upon the baby. The hat with a tiger's face is a symbol of courage and strength and is also a protective charm. Hats for infants were very bright and fancy and full of adornments such as pom-poms and tassels which are meant to attract good fortune. Monika Peter-Leicht has created an adorable brother and sister for the August group. For those who love the larger dolls, Jacob is 36" tall and produced in vinyl. Jacob is a new very tall size for Monika Peter- Leicht. He should be lots of fun for redressing if that is what you like to do. His legs are sculpted well above the knees and he has full arms into the shoulder plate. He is dressed in cute light denim pants with a navy tee shirt with white long sleeves. He comes with a hat. We are pleased to announce the introduction of Lily as part of the Anne Geddes Collectible doll line. This new doll is inspired by Anne's critically acclaimed, and much loved photography and her passion for babies. Lily is available to order now and will be shipped in mid November, 2008. The first offering of this doll will include a photo of one of the actual Waterlily babies that appears on the front cover of Anne's most recent book, "A Labor of Love." This wonderful image is world renowned and a favorite of Anne Geddes' collectors.

Lily is the first full body sculpt in the Anne Geddes Collection. Height 22". The baby has been produced in vinyl which adds to the overall beauty of the doll. Anne has worked with well known artist, Laura Tuzio-Ross to translate her vision for this doll. Lily has an engaging smile that will warm your heart. Paige has beautiful black hair drawn up in a ponytail on top that can be left as shown or let down for long flowing locks. She also has pretty blue eyes that contrast with her pretty dark hair. Gerlinde is one of our very special European artists. She has been sculpting dolls for many years and we have decided that it would be great if the US market could have an opportunity to enjoy her creations. Gerlinde has sculpted a very sweet face for Willow, Ht 25" in silicone/vinyl. She has beautiful blonde hair and pretty blue eyes. Her arms are sculpted above the elbow and attached with cloth to her body for ease in mobility and posing. She has a long shoulder plate that is almost waist length and legs sculpted above the knee with cloth above them. Sherri Williams is one our new artists who lives in the US and has been creating baby dolls over the last ten years.
