You’re bound to have questions when you play Linq™ by Endless Games, and that’s the point. This mind-bender for four or more requires players to find the two people who are the “linq,” though the two who fit the description are just as in the dark about their partner-in-crime. Find out who’s bluffing and use careful strategy in this game with only four cards. – Melissa Kaplan

Your Best Life Now, the best-selling book, is now a board game. The game gives players the means to enlarge their vision and develop a healthier self image while discovering the power of their thoughts and words. It's the first family board game in which play extends beyond the board into real life. Your Best Life Now brings an “I’ve never seen anything like this” factor to game play, Brian Turtle of Endless Games told TDmonthly. The game “continues long after all of the moving pieces are put away.” Launch date: January 2006.

Gerald McBoing Boing is the story of 6-year-old Gerald: an adventurous little boy with a unique talent for speaking only in sound effects. This game offers young children the chance to join Gerald as he honks, whistles, clangs, toots and cuckoos through his day. Based on the Acadamy Award-winning Dr. Seuss character now featured every day on the Cartoon Network, the Gerald McBoing Boing Game will entertain as it teaches, using sound association to engage and involve its young players.

Kids can join Colby, Mo and Jack in an exciting A to Z challenge. They toss their beanbags onto the mat and then skip, spell, sing, stretch or rhyme their way around the alphabet to score. Alphabet Circus is a hilarious way to learn letter names and sounds, and develop early reading skills. The line also includes Roll and Read and Menu Match. “All Hooked on Phonics games give kids several levels of difficulty, so kids can learn and play at a skill level that is just right for them,” Brian Turtle of Endless Games told TDmonthly. The trivia board game is based on “The Godfather” series. Players collect cards as they answer questions correctly, and then build a “family.” The first player with ten members in a family wins. However, players must remain wary of who is in the family and who is a betrayer, since players can order hits to add or lose family members. Launch date: June 2008.

An enhanced version of Tic-Tac-Toe, this game includes six magnetic game pieces: 3 0’s marked “1”, “3” and “5” and three X’s marked “2”, “4” and “6” — and a 3 x 3 game board grid. The pieces are played in numerical order. Once the six pieces are on the board, play continues in sequential fashion, with each move exposing the now-vacated square to the opponent. The action ends only when the first player achieves a three-in-a-row combination.
Quackgammon is an easier way-to-play variation of backgammon in a travel format. Each player moves his flock of three “mallards” around a lake. The fowl are protected by staying positioned next to each other so that the lone fowl is not a “sitting duck."

Name 5 is the new party game that asks the easy questions you know the answers to. Players are asked to name five items within a specific category. Sample questions include: Can you name 5 of the 7 dwarfs? Tom Hanks movies? Pizza toppings? TV Dads? Playable in teams or as individuals. Launch date: 2010.

This clever version of tick-tack-toe never ends in a tie. There are three O pieces, which also are numbered 1, 3 and 5, and three X pieces, numbered 2, 4 and 6. If your first game of tick-tack-toe ends in a tie, then play continues based on the numbers 1 through 6 that are on the pieces. Number 1 (an O) moves first to another open spot on the board. Then Number 2 takes a turn (an X) , then Number 3, and so on, until a player gets three X's or O's in a row. It takes real thought and makes tick-tack-toe fun again.

There's a party tonight, and the players have been asked to bring the cupcakes. Be the first player to mix, bake, frost, and top the cupcake by visiting all 4 corners, and collect sprinkles along the way. The first player to reach the part with a completed cupcake and a sprinkle of each color wings the cherry to put on top. Launch date: June 2012.

Anger Management Board Games explores questions like: are players annoyed by drivers who don't notice the light has changed because they're yakking on their cell phones? If so, then everyone will love playing Anger Management, the subversively humorous board game that encourages players to lighten up and laugh at all the things that drive us all crazy as they whine their way to victory.
