Screaming Monkeys Are Serious Business

Playmaker Toys' Products Speak for Themselves

Ernie Wong, president of Playmaker Toys, believes that toys should speak for themselves. So his scream. While flying across a room.

Three generations of toymaking know-how went into the creation of Playmakers Toys, but that didn't mean their road was easy.  When asked about his greatest obstacles, Wong confided to TDmonthly: "It's hard to get noticed by retailers at first."

But Wong persisted and his Flingshot Flying Monkey has been flung across specialty toy stores around the country this past year, and even made it onto Jay Leno's Tonight Show.

He warns toymaking newcomers not to expect overnight success. "We're in it for the long haul," he said.

Find out more about Ernie and his journey in the April issue of TDmonthly Magazine.
