He may have thought he was just playing, but when Greg Bonner grabbed a jack-in-the-box as a child, he was really training himself to take over his family’s toy store.

The Heights Toy Center in Little Rock, Ark., has been going strong for 70 years, and Bonner’s been involved for more than 40. How does he keep up with the competition? By trusting his instincts.
